We had a very exciting first two days of school. We made new friends, got familiar with our classroom, and made our first voyage to the playground! We picked classroom helpers for line leader, door holder, first aid kit, etc. I discussed the fact that everyone in the classroom does not get a job every week. But we must be patient and wait until the following week when he/she will be chosen. We made "Shape Houses" by looking at an example and then creating a picture with squares, triangles, ovals, and circles. The class was introduced to Harry our Alphabet Monster. So we went over our "Show and Tell" rules. We went over our classroom rules and discussed our special "traffic light" inside the room. We all stayed on GREEN this week! For our first full week of school, we will be introducing various parts of our curriculum and sending all of our work home on Friday. We will also get to go to our first enrichment classes, beginning with Reading, Chapel, and Music and Movement on Monday.
